Atabey is the mother and creator goddess and is the most important god of the Taino people. She was the goddess of the moon, fertility, fresh water, music and beauty. She inhabited the Caribbean islands of the Antillies, mostly in Puerto Rico, Haiti/ Dominican Republic and Cuba.
